Thanks Evan. I changed the APT:Cache-Limit to 52428800 and the error is not a critical one any more. I am using a DELL INSPIRON 1545 and have partitioned my 250 GB Hard drive into 4 partitions and it looks like the partition has run out of space though my m/c has enough space on it. I am trying to upgrade from Lucid Lynx 10.04 LTS to Precise Pangolin.
Saw the comment about asking 10.04 users to wait until July just now.
