Firstly, this should not have been filed against Ubuntu Docs, and each
issue should have been filed as separate bugs if they were indeed valid.

According to a quick search at packages.ubuntu.com see:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/precise/audacious Audacious is still
available in precise.

Did you try re-installing it?
'sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install audacious'

The issue regarding wine is not a bug but a request for support.

Title:
I actually have two problems. The first is a minor problem. The
upgrade to 12:04 completely obsoleted Audacious and the file was
uninstalled. I was able to find a music player that is almost as good
and use that one. The second problem involves the last update to Wine.
That update has rendered my Steam account inoperable. Steam was one of
the main reasons why I have Wine on my computer in the first place.
What did the upgrade do and how can it be repared?
