UPDATE: Running 10.04.4 LTS as live cd resulted in three processes appearing on startup of FF gui. Two were zombies and one was normal ff process.
Version 10.0 FF. Updated all important security updates; recommended updates; linux kernel updates not applied, as that will require a reboot to take effect. Now version 13.0 FF. Zombie processes did not appear when FF started after updates were applied.
