Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce:
sudo apt-get install dtach dtach -A vim vim <Alt+F4> (kill terminal) (start new terminal) dtach -A vim vim (kill terminal, start new terminal, etc, should not take too long for the bug to manifest) What I expect to happen: vim shows up and is usable every time I attach. What actually happens: Eventually, I just get a blank screen and I can no longer interact with the dtach'd process. Why this is an Ubuntu bug: I clone'd the source from git://github.com/bogner/dtach.git at revision 03b9462d78719df9c408d65ce837d890d00f9f77 and did: export CFLAGS="-g" ./configure make and when I do the same test with the resulting binary, I cannot reproduce the bug. ** Affects: dtach (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1012160 Title: dtach does not correctly protect session from abnormal termination To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dtach/+bug/1012160/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
