Hello, I have done a new clean install 12.04 from CD and use the Henningsson's instructions (Comment #32) right afterwards 2. http://www.webupd8.org/2010/11/fix-hda-intel-realtek-alc887-no-sound.html and I have some now some sounds, I cannot set up the volume and it is both working on the headset and the Laptop speaker at the same time, but it is first step as a temporary solution ok before the bugfix come This bug (#1005128) can be closed as it looks indeed similar to the Problem #946232, I will now add my comment there.
