Public bug reported:

Since upgrading from 'oneiric' to 'precise' my network manager applet
shows my network SSID, prompts for a password and reports I am
successfully connected. However no network connections can be made from
desktop applications. Chromium cannot browse and 'ping www.google.com'
cannot exchange packets with google.

How can I remedy this problem?

Thanks

Clare
