I don't have ia32 libs installed on my Xubuntu laptop, but the machine is definitely affected by this bug. I am almost sure it is a LightDM-related issue, because logging in via a terminal and "startx" works as an acceptable workaround. Does anyone already tried reinstalling GDM?
