No luck with a new user. Pressing Vol+ and Vol- triggers a response (in this case "KMix does not seem to be running, not sure why, but kmix is running). The question that still evades me is why I can set Mute as a shortcut (i.e. the key press event comes through) but it does not trigger anything.
