hi 3vi1, thanks for your posting. But yesterday evening, situation grew really worse for me, because my graphiccard was near to an overhaeat because I had to switch over to nouveau. I also made nomodeset permanent. But this did not change, that my graphiccard nearly got too hot. So I had to turn away from Ubuntu 12.10, which I used until yesterday evening.
Now I use LuninX OS, which is based on Ubuntu Precise, because there, the propreatory nvidia-driver works again for me. But: I will return back as soon as this new recompiling will be in the repos!! Can you tell me, when this will be?? Is there already an appointment to see??
