An example of this behavior - I use Alt-Left to go back a page in my
Firefox history.  Sometimes, when I release the keys closely in time,
the HUD engages.  If I release one key after the other slowly it doesn't
seem to happen.

It's not every time, but happens often enough to be noticable.
