ok how to reproduce:

the setup is a dualboot computer of laptop with a fat32 partition to
exchange data between windows and ubuntu

- boot windows
- close put you computer in hibernation
- boot ubuntu
- make a file or move something to your fat 32 partition
- shutdown ubuntu
- when you boot windows from hibernation mode the files you made or moved 
disappeared and can't be found from ubuntu nor windows

at least i have been able to reproduce is by putting files in a folder
which is my windows desktop but i think it is possible with other
folders as well i will try it soon

i use feisty fawn on a acer 1692 laptop and windows xp
