I just installed Xubuntu12.04 (64bit) on the same Toshiba NB520 machine. In addition to Fn+F8 not enabling/disabling wireless, Fn+F9 for enabling/disabling the built-in touchpad has stopped working too (this was working previously with Xubuntu11.10).
With the toshiba_acpi kernel module loaded, Fn+F6/F7 for screen brightness, Fn+3/4 for audio volume, Fn+ESC for audio mute off/on and Fn+F11 for numpad off/on do all appear to be working ok. However it would be extremely useful if the Fn+F8/F9 keystrokes for wireless/touchpad worked correctly too. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/815419 Title: Unable to disable wireless on Toshiba NB520 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/815419/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
