I just installed Xubuntu12.04 (64bit) on the same Toshiba NB520 machine.
In addition to Fn+F8 not enabling/disabling wireless, Fn+F9 for
enabling/disabling the built-in touchpad has stopped working too (this
was working previously with Xubuntu11.10).

With the toshiba_acpi kernel module loaded, Fn+F6/F7 for screen
brightness, Fn+3/4 for audio volume, Fn+ESC for audio mute off/on and
Fn+F11 for numpad off/on do all appear to be working ok. However it
would be extremely useful if the Fn+F8/F9 keystrokes for
wireless/touchpad worked correctly too.
