I'm pretty sure if it is the same issue I had with this machine in precise it has to do with the driver for the webcam not initialising correctly and hogging all the cpu and filling the memory till eventually the kernel panics or something along those lines. I know it got resolved in the last beta and works flawlessly in precise now.
