So I decided to install a fresh linux on a seperate partition and now I can't get my laptop to shut down at all, even on battery - This is the case with both installs of Ubuntu.
Sometimes my keyboard doesn't work also. I installed the fresh kernel and updated it with RC5 listed above to use one Ubuntu to edit the other so if I'm provided with recommended changes I can update one system without messing up the other.
