I got around this by creating a user.js file (see https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird/Thunderbird_Configuration_Files#user.js) and putting in the following text:
// Modify quote header // user_pref("mailnews.reply_header_ondate", "\nOn %s"); I tried using the Config Editor to change the mailnews.reply_header_ondate but it wouldn't take the \n as a newline. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021813 Title: Thunderbird places incorrect newlines when composing a reply using "reply above quote" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1021813/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
