@ Thomas Hood. There are no doubt that this is a new problem that has appeared in Quantal. (on top of others)
In Precise and Oneiric there are a conflict with "acer_wmi" (875659, still open), and the built in open source driver in Ubuntu have a network speed that is below 70Kb/sec. (896582, still open) Once, (after my last post and only once! - I tried) booting live session from an USB stick made with Unetbootin, there where Wifi enabled that could establish connection. I started three heavy downloads at once to get an impression of network speed( to check bug 896582). The network speed was not, as in Precise and Oneiric below 70Kb/sec. but very unstable going and up and down between blocked and 40Mb/sec. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1020081 Title: No WiFi in Quantal Alpha 2 on Ideapad s205 -- Ralink RT3090 rt2800pci To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1020081/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
