The patch in kernel 3.2.0-27.43 is very important, because each Ivy Bridge system is affected! The upstream kernel was fixed a long time ago (before 12.04 LTS release, kernel 3.3-rc1-precise 19-Jan-2012, stable kernel 3.3-precise 19-Mar-2012) @ #79 you don't need kernel-ppa/pre-proposed... kernel 3.2.0-27.43 is in precise proposed repo. should end up in update repo next week. 3 months after LTS release *lol*
