I'm posting here (rather than the duplicate) only because I seem to be noticing that the only constant is significant network activity (loading a page, launching pan newsreader, bittorrent, etc.) I'm not 100% certain, but I can't recall the machine ever crashing while I was, say, just playing a game or working on a document. At a bare minimum there was something downloading in the background while I did other stuff, then... boom.
