I just want to relate this problem as well happens with me.
frequently closes Terminal, Rhythmbox, gedit and Google Chrome when
switch between this programs. Another programs also closes but not so
frequently. It appears a Unity problem, because don't happens with Xfce
neither with Gnome-shell/classic
