OK, I had two freeze/lockups today after about two weeks without any issues - sigh - on kernel #43 from proposed. The first one happened while the computer was unattended and doing practically nothing - just a browser open. I came back to the system and found it completely unresponsive.
I was trying to figure out if this is same the issue, so I opened up a boatload of glxgears from terminal (more than the test script calls for, filling the screen), listened to Pandora with various other browser tabs open, and then started playing a full-screen 3D game (warzone2100). I got pretty far into a skirmish, but the system finally did completely freeze as it used to do: no response to pings, SSH login, or Magic SysRq/REISUB. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/999910 Title: [IVB]12.04 64 bit System freezes (mouse, keyboard) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/999910/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
