I've performed the "#46 hack" and Eclipse now integrates with the
application menu. I don't think I've come across any unwanted behaviour
from Eclipse (other that its usual quirks).

What exactly is it I should be aware of? Has there been reported any
specific errors or test cases about this that I can test if they're
still present?

(That binary blacklist is ridiculous! I would have thought the people of
such a central library would know better, and instead load their
blacklist as a user-friendly text file on library start up. I wonder if
there's a report on this...)
