For the sake of not losing Windows 7, (better to be safe than sorry) I installed Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS (Lucid Lynx) Daily Build on a seperate partition.
Quick breakdown: Tried running from CD ISO, first time, keyboard loaded, no wireless connection; Tried shutting down, only restarted; Tried running from CD ISO, keyboard failed to load, no wireless connection; Restarted; Installed Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS (Lucid Lynx) Daily Build on the seperate partition, when prompted to restart, OS froze had to force shutdown via power button... Started computer, keyboard failed to load could not select OS to load at bootup, forced shutdown again. Started computer, loaded Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS (Lucid Lynx) Daily Build with no extra packages/updates, no wireless connection, selected shutdown from GUI, computer restarted. Selected Windows 7, reporting outcomes. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do, attachments to add or anything else!
