Some filesystems (vfat, for instance) do not support files with sizes
greater than 4GiB. Your problem is unlikely to be the source (since it's
reading only 2KiB at a time); it's much more likely to be the
destination. What was the filesystem type of the destination to which
you were copying the images/files?
