Public bug reported:

I already filed this bug when I used the xorg-edgers ppa. Now I purged
it but that doesn't help. So here is the description again, updated with
the new lightdm version and a detailed description on what happens.

On my system, lightdm fails to start whenever I try to start it with
enabled "type=weston" under "[SeatDefaults]" in my lightdm.conf.

The logs are from my current system start, where the weston-option was
enabled at startup. I got the error "Your system is running in low-
graphics mode" but if I went through the menu, and chose to run with low
graphics, I didn't get the login screen - I saw the startup output and
got to the console with Ctrl+Alt+F1, from where I disabled the weston-
option and rebooted.

lightdm version: 1.3.2-0ubuntu1+compositor1

** Affects: lightdm (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
