@stephane-guillou; this bug is not a regression as this functionality
never worked correctly!

Note that the following drag and drop options all work in Unity today:
- dragging and dropping a file onto a Launcher icon
- dragging and dropping a file from the Dash to a window
- dragging and dropping a file from window to window
- dragging and dropping a app icon from the Dash to the Launcher

This bug is about having the option to drop onto a specific window that is not
currently visible via the Launcher. The change request detailed in this bug is
for when a icon is dragged over a Launcher icon for all the windows of that
application to spread, and the allow the user to drop the icon into one of the
windows.

Adding this improvement requires diving quite deep into X and Compiz,
and currently most of the Compiz contributors are focusing on speed and
stability improvements, which is also very important.

I would love to see this bug resolved, but given the workload and
roadmap of our current Compiz contributors this bug will probably not
get resolved in the near future unless someone who is not currently
contributing to Compiz steps up to tackle this problem.

So if anyone is up for a challenge (fixing this bug will be non-trivial)
and would like to try their hand at X and Compiz, ping me on Freenode
#ubuntu-desktop and I'll put you in touch with the relevant people who
can help and advise.
