One more, perhaps related observation. Click on the Time/ Calendar indicator. Calendar is shown. Now if Chrome pop-up indication from Gmail arrives, though it is shown above the calendar, clicking on the Gmail notification has no effect. Calendar has to be dismissed first, only then.
