Dear Christopher, fortunately the problem "only" occurred twice from the beginning of July. Could you please tell me exactly what piece of information is missing from what I uploaded? You can clearly see the problem in the syslog file. It starts with a line saying "BUG: soft lockup - CPU#1 stuck for 23s! [gnome-settings-:2158]".
