This is a problem of the upstream design of the HPLIP printer drivers by
HP, not of the Ubuntu packaging of the drivers. Therefore I am adding an
upstream task to make your bug report visible to the developers at HP.

Can someone of the HPLIP developers at HP look into this and tell why
the two driver flavors (hpcups and hpijs) use so different halftoning
algorithms?
