I had the same bug on xubuntu distribution.
The solution: start your livecd, choose "try ubuntu without installing"
Once the office to open the terminal and remove the package
ubiquity-slideshow-xubuntu:
sudo apt-get remove ubiquity-slideshow-xubuntu
You can then start the installation by clicking on the icon located on
the desktop
