Right, I've tested again. Current Precise kernel, 3.2.0.29, produces the
oops. So the bug is still present.

The interesting thing is that mainline kernel 3.2.0 for Precise, from
the kernel PPA,*does not* show the bug - the Wacom connects just fine.

So it's (a) something Ubuntu has changed from mainline in 3.2.0, or
possibly (b) something about the Broadcom wifi driver interfering with
it (as a tainting binary blob).

Not using the wifi when using the tablet is pretty much unworkable, for
obvious reasons, particularly since this *used* to work just fine. The
user is presently using Windows 7 instead on the machine, and hating it,
but it's that or not being able to get anything done.
