There are a number of issues involved in this bugreport. One is using ndiswrapper. Recent versions of wpasupplicant and ndiswrapper HAVE TO BE USED WITH the -D wext switch instead of -D ndiswrapper as you are using. Please be sure to read the documentation in /usr/share/doc/wpasupplicant.
Moreover, I have read reports that nowadays ndiswrapper uses ethX instead of wlanX as interface names, this might be a problem as well. Your crash is most probably related to wrong usage of wpasupplicant (the crash itself is a of course bug a bug of itself, please file another if you find out how to provoke/reproduce it). Please check again with -D wext, and ideally, run wpa_supplicant by hand. You have to create a config file for this (see /usr/share/doc/wpasupplicant/examples for reference). Try to reproduce your problem. If you succeed, please run wpa_supplicant with parameters -dd, which will give you a very verbose output. That output explains in detail what's going wrong, and I'd really need to look into it to say more about your specific problem. -- [feisty] wpa-supplicant crash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/69059 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
