Well actually I got these package installed since dapper, I found on the www.ubuntu-fr.org wiki how to install nspluginwrapper when it was not in Ubuntu's repositories.
I pretty well know that acrobat plugin is not supported by Ubuntu, but the use I make of nspluginwrapper, is to use 32 bit plugins designed for mozilla compatible browser (I think it is actually netscape based browsers) on my 64 bit firefox. The package I had before was made with alien and the official (i.e. from the official nspluginwrapper site) rpm package. The version of nspluginwapper I had istalled was 0.9.91.4-2. It used to run perfectly some proprietary plugins such as acroread and flash. Then the version of nsplugin wrapper that is in the gutsy repository seems to be unable to work with the acrobat plugin. The acrobat plugin I am using is the one from Adobe, which is a proprietary plugin shipped with Acrobat Reader 7.0 I think it would be a good idea to have a version of nspluginwrapper that is able to wrapp adobe's acrobat and flash plugins, since these plugins belong to the little annoying restrictions of 64 bit linux installation. I tried removing my old version and installing the official one, and then I can just say that the Gutsy version of nspluginwrapper is unable to use the acrobat plugin on my computer. I may do further investigation before posting a new bug cincerning that issue (since nspluginwrapper is able to handle the acrobat plugin) Best regards -- Z. -- [nspluginwrapper] nspluginwrapper won't upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/122528 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
