I reported this against ncurses and not eterm because apparently
ncurses-base provides the terminfo files, which is where I found the
fix. I have no idea where it came from, but on my dapper box I have a
/etc/terminfo/E/Eterm file, and if I put this file on my edgy box, the
problem goes away. Apt-file doesn't say anything about this file, but
it does mention /lib/terminfo/E/Eterm, which exists on both machines
with the same md5sum. Apparently /etc/terminfo gets searched first, so
this file (wherever it came from) gets used and solves the problem.
Attaching the compiled terminfo file.
