Sorry, I was too quick with my original bug report. Testing over night has shown that while kernel versions 2.6.39, 3.0 and 3.1 showed no dropped packets, the connection was still unstable. I have rewritten the report accordingly. If this is not a good idea, then I can also create a new report and close this one as invalid.
