Public bug reported:

Hello,

I have recently upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10, which is already a great disto
good work guys! However, I have an issue with my web cam. While
installition, it was possible to use the webcam for taking a photo for
my computer account. Then I installed cheese program which allows camera
recording but it looks like the software has some problems. My camera
does not work with that.

I think this is not a hardware problem but a software one.

Thanks for your support

Sinan Aykut
