This is also reproducible in Disks aka Disk Utility aka gnome-disk- utility.
Steps: 1. Select target disk on the left. 2. Click the gears button in the top right. 3. Select "Format Disk" 4. Choose any settings 5. Click "Format" 6. Wait 10-15 seconds for error to appear *Note: This is only reproducible if there is an existing partition table on the device. These steps will not reproduce the issue if the partition table is clear, e.g. after a secure erase. ** Attachment added: "Error" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udisks/+bug/1044685/+attachment/3315424/+files/Screenshot%20from%202012-09-14%2013%3A53%3A38.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1044685 Title: too high use of resource and hung To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/udisks/+bug/1044685/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
