Public bug reported:

The sounds is bad no matter from where it comes from speakers of from
headphones. it does not matter if it's from internet or from avi file.
it started when I updated from 10.04 to 12.04. Sound quality is good
when I start my pc and having only firefox on, but right after I start
any other application the sound gets bad.
