Public bug reported:
I am unable to do software updates of 12.0.4 LTS.
the error message I get from update-manager is :
"An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package
information.
Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include
the following error message:
'E:Encountered a section with no Package: header, E:Problem with
MergeList /var/lib/apt/lists/linux.ntuoss
.org_ubuntu_dists_precise_main_binary-amd64_Packages, E:The package
lists or status file could not be parsed or opened.'"
The same problem also prevents me from executing any bug reporting tool
on my desktop.
