Public bug reported: When I first log in, I can see the envelope icon for the messages indicator. I am able to click on it, and cause the drop-down menu to appear. However, soon after I log in, the icon disappears, and I can only open the messages indicator by clicking on another icon and dragging the mouse over the single pixel wide column of the panel that the indicator still seems to own.
Also possibly unrelated but other indicators are not appearing for me, including indicator-weather and indicator-multiload.
