The most likely cause for this would be a kernel video driver trying to
drive the display at a resolution not supported by your monitor.  Please
add 'plymouth.debug=file:/var/log/plymouth-debug.log' to your boot
options and attach the resulting log file.  Please also attach the
output of the command 'xrandr'.
