As a side note, I downloaded the .dsc and the Ubuntu 12.04 source
package and notices that the readline62_001 patch found on the GNU
Readline FTP site is included in the current build as the patch
readline62_001.diff.  So, I think it is just a matter of including the
readline62_002, readline62_003, and readline62_004 patches also.

Is it enough to just add these to the debian/patches directory and
modify the series file also.  I am willing to help get this ready to
submit to  build servers, but don't know the process. Do I need to
update the .dsc file. Do I bump the version up to 6.2-9?
