Public bug reported: On Ubuntu 12.10 beta 2, freshly upgraded from 12.04, I'm now getting my Samba shares (mounted using cifs, so with an entry in fstab) showing up in the Launcher, with network folders icons, which was not the case before.
I'm not sure if it's a feature or a bug, but for sure, there should be a way to disable this, globally (i.e. option to not show network shares in Launcher) or for each icon (i.e. with "remove from Launcher" in the menu). For internal hard disk, which is also showing up in the Launcher since 12.10, there is a "Remove from Launcher" option in the menu, which is great. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Summary changed: - Samba shares showing in Launcher - No way to remove + Samba shares showing up in Launcher - No way to remove -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1058602 Title: Samba shares showing up in Launcher - No way to remove To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1058602/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
