Hi Max, I'll have to dig out my 1.6 branch before I can take a closer
look, but you should know that the version of Wireshark in Precise has
not changed since April 12th, 2012, when the current version was
uploaded :) Note that that's before Precise was officially released, but
after you upgraded to it.

Not only that - the version in Oneiric is the same major release (1.6)
as the version in Precise, so this bug almost certainly existed in
Oneiric too!

You mention FIFOs briefly in your summary, but not in your steps to
reproduce. If something about reproducing the bug seems reliant on
capturing from a FIFO, please clarify.
