Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit and Audacious 3.2.1 (also can reproduce on version 3.3.2)
Although Audacious has a setting to use a network proxy, it seems that proxies created using SSH (ssh -C -D), which are SOCKS proxies, do not work when streaming mp3s (such as SomaFM's streaming mp3s). I've tested that the proxy works just fine otherwise, and I have configured Audacious with the same proxy configuration as Firefox. The only difference I can see is that Audacious doesn't ask if it's an HTTP proxy or a SOCKS proxy, which makes me suspect that's where it's breaking down. ** Affects: audacious (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1061015 Title: Will not stream mp3 over SOCKS proxy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/audacious/+bug/1061015/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
