Public bug reported:
Running the installer locks up the machine.
Get to boot screen of Kubuntu.
Select Install.
After a few seconds, I get a black screen and the keyboard stops working
(toggling caps lock won't toggle the LED any more).
Waited for hours. Nothing.
Tried installing both from USB stick and DVD.
Tried several systems from i7 960 to i7 3930K and dual 2687W with
different GPUs (GTX 8600, GTX580).
