I am not with my Tungsten T5 currently, will get it next week only to say the USB id. Meanwhile, there are some things I can tell:
- I found a blacklist for visor module at /etc/modprobe.d/libpisock9 (libpisock9). I am not sure if this was the cause of the issue, but may be (I guess udev wont process it, right?). - Package gnome-pilot comes with the file /usr/share/gnome-pilot/devices.xml with USB ids of many visor like devices. My T5 works with gnome-pilot. I remember I made a bug report on Debian about its USB ID missing on this file. As far as I remember, it is the same as another palmOne model (perhaps Zire 31, I am not sure) but making visor module to be loaded for all USB ids listed there, should make things work in theory. - May be there is a similar list at kpilot, that should get imported. - Even better. I had to patch an old kernel to make my Zire 31 work. There is an USB id list for all supported devices at visor module source code that should be used as master source list of devices. I do not remember how visor module was loaded on Debian, I think it was through udev. May be there are a couple of lines there that can be imported. I will give you my USB ids as soon as I get my T5 back. Thank you.
