I've recently switched (back) to using Linux Mint with Mate. I can confirm that in this distro, REISUB is working just fine. Since Ubuntu is Mint's upstream, it's very likely that the bug is solved in Ubuntu, as well. Thought you might like to know. I see no reason to un-expire this bug, or otherwise keep it "open."
