Public bug reported: I was trying to install zoneminder from Ubuntu Software Center
lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS Release: 10.04 Package version 0.23+fixes24104-0ubuntu2 (mythzoneminder) I hoped the installation would complete successfully but instead my laptop froze. I had to remove power & the battery and reboot to regain control. System now cannot upgrade/install anything as dpkg reports the same error with zoneminder.
