Public bug reported:

The version of ntop provided with Ubuntu reports certain unknown traffic
as "FTP", which is not very useful and renders the statistics it
generates for my server (which has no FTP traffic, yet the bulk of the
traffic is reported as "FTP" by ntop) pretty much useless.

According to this post this is a known problem which is fixed in the
latest release:

http://listgateway.unipi.it/pipermail/ntop/2012-February/016709.html

In addition, when you open the web interface of the version of ntop
provided with Ubuntu, it says "Version: a minimally supported but OLDER
version - please upgrade" at the bottom of the page.

Could the version of ntop included with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS please be
upgraded to the latest version (5.0.1)?
