Kjell: This would make sense. Unfortunately, there's an open bug about this (bug #564043) that's currently in "Won't Fix" because fixing it runs into yet another bug (bug #545673). Until the underlying upstart and file location issues get sorted out, passing options to gssd from the nfs-common defaults file probably isn't possible.
